This role would suit a strategic leader who can quickly establish credibility, build strong stakeholder relationships, and develop integrated engagement strategies that deliver measurable impact.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and leading a single national engagement and communications strategy across a multi-partner programme, utilising the expertise, reach and existing channels of partner organisations while maintaining one clear programme identity and voice.

    What You'll Do

    • Establish a consistent programme voice across multiple partner organisations while enabling appropriate adaptation for local audiences and contexts.
    • Lead the development, delivery and evaluation of integrated national campaigns.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners and sector organisations, aligning communications activity around shared priorities.
    • Lead brand positioning and external communications, translating programme objectives into clear audience and campaign strategies.
    • Develop campaign frameworks, communications assets and partner toolkits to support consistent delivery.
    • Use audience insight, stakeholder research and behavioural understanding to shape campaign design and delivery.
    • Ensure all communications are accessible, clear and consistent.
    • Manage external agencies, suppliers and specialist delivery partners where required.
    • Support senior leaders with strategic stakeholder engagement and communications activity.
    • Monitor engagement performance, campaign effectiveness and audience reach.
    • Identify opportunities to strengthen profile, participation and programme impact.
    • Manage communications risks and sensitive external issues effectively.

    What You'll Bring

    • Significant senior or executive-level experience in communications, engagement, marketing, events or related disciplines.
    • Experience developing, leading and evaluating high-profile national campaigns.
    • Experience delivering behaviour-change, participation or adoption-focused campaigns with measurable outcomes.
    • Proven experience delivering communications and engagement activity across multiple audiences, regions and channels.
    • Strong stakeholder management experience, including working within complex partnerships, consortiums or federated organisations.
    • Experience delivering campaigns and events programmes at scale.
    • Strong understanding of brand, reputation and stakeholder management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information without losing accuracy.
    • Experience working alongside senior leaders, external stakeholders and strategic partners.
